Frequently Asked Questions

Our Teaching Method

Why do we teach foreign languages to young people?

Speaking one or more foreign languages is essential for your child's future as it is a valuable ability to improve the personal, social and professional quality of life

Learning foreign languages is a precious asset for developing concentration and memory skills, improving school results, gaining self-confidence, and opening up to the world and other cultures.

When can we start learning a new language?

Learning a new language should begin as early as possible!

Our centre welcomes all young people from the age of 3 to 18.

Who are our teachers?

Our teachers are all professionals in language teaching to young people. We carefully select them for their professional and human qualities.

Our teachers are all native speakers or have the equivalent of C2 level (CEFR).

Our teachers all receive some pedagogical training and follow-up at our centre.

How is my child’s language level evaluated?

You can indicate your child's level estimate in the registration form. You can also mention other relevant details (e.g. multilingual family, previous language courses taken, stays abroad).

Our advisers are also available to help you determine your child's level.

Our teachers will assess your child's level orally at the beginning of the course.
In case of a discrepancy between your child's level and the group's, we will contact you to offer a more suitable group to match your child's needs.

Our teaching method

Our method consists of learning the foreign language as naturally as possible. Our approach consists of acquiring the foreign language as naturally as possible. From the first day, immersing the young person in the language will be incredibly efficient.

What to expect from school term classes?

  • 3-5 years: Linguistic immersion through educational activities, games, songs and everyday situations. Our approach is thus more practical than 'passively' academic. Young people can enjoy learning the new language through edutaining (instructive and entertaining) and dynamic exercises (e.g. mime a piece, recreate a scene from a story, scavenger hunts).
  • 6-11 years: Immersion facilitates the acquisition of the new language to optimise the learning process. Young people are introduced to or enhance different language features (e.g. grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation) at once through edutaining (instructive and entertaining) activities according to their needs and interests. Listening and speaking are central to our teaching method to encourage your child’s enhancement of practical and concrete skills. Reading and writing activities complement our approach depending on the learner’s abilities and needs.
  • 12-18 years: Our teachers specialise in teenagers' language training. Adolescents cover and express themselves on topics that matter to them (e.g. personal and social issues and solutions, intercultural exchange, the environment, and the future). Around key weekly themes, teenagers enhance all skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and communication and interpersonal skills in the foreign language.

Teaching resources

Throughout the course, the child will receive material carefully chosen by the teacher to work on different themes and topics. This material can include copies, pictures, magazines or books. The school provides educational material, which the administrative fee includes.

Our Groups

For optimal efficiency, our group are composed of min.6, max. 10 participants per group.
We group young learners according to their age and language level.

How can I follow my child’s progress?

Our teachers can answer your questions by appointment before or after your child's class. we can arrange a meeting if you wish to talk with a teacher.

Our teaching team is at your disposal throughout the year.

Open classes at the end of each term allow you to see your child's progress (depending on health and safety measures).

At the end of the school year, your child receives a certificate and a personalised evaluation that will indicate the progress and level reached in the foreign language.

Our Brussels centre

Our Brussels centre has an inner courtyard and many classrooms suitable for small groups.

The classrooms are adapted and arranged according to age groups. The toddlers will benefit from child-friendly furniture, cushions, activity mats, and soft toys for a stimulating environment on/near the ground floor.

Each classroom has all the essential furniture, enough space to encourage dynamic activities, and a shared bathroom either in the classroom (en suite) or nearby.

Health and Safety Measures

The health and safety of all is our priority.

We implement all the necessary hygiene and safety measures following the Belgian/European authorities for the well-being of all.

We ventilate all classrooms regularly, clean class equipment with a disinfectant solution and provide hand gel at the reception and in class. Masks are no longer compulsory yet still recommended indoors.

Our coordinators accompany your children to their classrooms to avoid overcrowding in the yard, halls, stairs and classrooms.

We thank everyone for respecting these measures for the health and safety of all.
